This answer I made to an online post questioning why nurses venture into overseas work. I think it’s worth posting here because it applies to ALL OFW regardless of the type of business/work we engage in.
We'll all be lying to ourselves and others if we claim that we practice Nursing outside of our country with a sole purpose of helping others.
Nurses go overseas in search for a greener pasture, with the sole purpose of earning a decent income for us and our family, period.

Tapos na ang eleksyon sa Pilipinas. Napakarami na namang marurunong nating kababayan na nagsusulat ng mga negatibo.
Nandiyan ang nagsasabing maraming bobong politiko, mga bobo at uto-utong kababayan. Madalas ang ating kabayan ay nagbabangayan, nagsisisihan at iniinsulto ang sarili nating bayan.
Totoo, matindi ang kurapsiyon sa Pilipinas. Pero kahit naman saan. Kahit naman dito sa Amerika matindi rin ang kurapsiyon at lokohan.
Ang masama nga niyan pag ang lokohan nagsimula sa America lahat sa mun...

Born and raised in Davao City, I move to NY in the 90's and started my career in the health care industry. After years in service I’ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly … along with my small family I'm ready to retire, pack my stuff and head back home.
My target destination this time will be Davao City, Davao Del Norte, Gen San City
I love fish, the beach, the country side and everything the nature has to offer.
To Mount Apo, after 30 some years, I shall climb again!
