Our Youth

The children's minds are like clay...with adequate guidance and support, they can be molded into any shape or form.

They are our future!

With proper mentoring...they can grow to become outstanding citizens.

Bad upbringing can turn them into a menace in the society.

Parents are their role model...Mothers greatly influence their character.

If we fail to empower our mothers...our society will face the daunting task of curtailing unruly citizens.

A good example of empowering our mothers are programs such as CLEEP. Image below. However, we must not settle with providing information on technological aspect. We must also reinforce education in terms of mindset reform.

Technical knowledge is one thing. But training the mental character that withstand difficulties and challenges is one important factor that must be included in the program to properly empower our citizens.

Research studies conducted among high performance athletes in the Olympics revealed that winners in the competition spent 75% of their time in mental training and 25% on physical training compared to those who lost.

DTI's Comprehensive Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program or CLEEP. A Training program for the unemployed housewives.

The Philippine Government already provides the technology necessary to equip Filipinos into becoming productive citizens.

We, as responsible citizens, must pick up the tools provided and take our part in reshaping the future of our country.

This is my country, your country, our country!!!

If I may borrow the words from JFK:

"Ask not what the government can do for you...but rather asked what you can do for your government".

Allow me to share a piece of Mr. John Gokongwei Jr's. life story. He is one of the great and successful entrepreneurs our country has ever seen.

Mr. John Gokongwei Jr. who, despite the tragic death of his Father at a young age, manage to succeed. Not because of rich resources --- his family actually lost everything ---, but rather because of his will power to survive and recoup the things that he previously enjoyed.

That's the power of mindset!

Congressman Manny Pacquiao is another classic example of will power. Born and raise from a very poor family, endured difficulties and unable to earn decent education. Because of sheer determination to get out of poverty, at a young age despite the lack of resources, work his way up to the ring --- even when his weight disqualifies him. Few years later, he manage to become one of the world's best athlete.

Matter of fact; Mr. Manny Pacquiao is one of the best gifts that God gave to the Filipino people.

The burning desire to get out of poverty is what propelled him to be where he is now.

If we are to ask him how he managed to conquer this feat --- I bet he will start with a vision of seeing himself raising his coveted price -- the belt of a champ -- up in the air before thousands of screaming fans.

I love to quote Congressman Manny's faith in God:

"Don’t tell God that you have a big problem, but tell your problem that you have a great God."

Manny Pacquiao's meeting with his long time boxing idol Sugar Ray Leonard at Wild Card Gym in 2006 affirmed that he too believes in the importance of mental preparation in his training.

“You should also possess this,” said Leonard, pointing to his head, indicating that half of the battles on top of the ring are won because of mental preparation and toughness, something that Pacquiao completely concurred with.

We all have the ability to pursue our will power ... our brains are wired to do so. We need to condition our mind and believe that whatever is conceivable --- it is attainable.

Everything we have around us was conceived in a vision...followed by faith, perseverance and discipline...that vision became a reality.

If no one would have thought (visualize) that an object can fly or float thousands of miles across the ocean...we won't have airplanes and boats today.

Our leaders are visionaries!

We need to teach our children to be visionaries...

We need to help them realize that the world is bigger than what they see around them...

We need to help them understand that no matter what circumstances they are in at the moment...there is hope!

The ability to dream and take the leap of faith in making that dream a reality is not beyond their scope.

We may chose to complain all day...but that will never accomplish a thing, nor change the reality.

If we so desire to change, it must begin from within us!

We are blessed with immense power to imagine, create, pursue positive or negative action --- whatever we choose...it's all up to us. As long as our brain can make a judgment.

"Be it unto you according to your faith"

Jesus Christ Matthew 9:29

“Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing

on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”

Thomas Jefferson, 3rd US President

“We all possess more power and greater possibilities than we realize, and visualizing is one of the greatest of these powers. It brings other possibilities to our observation. When we pause to think for a moment, we realize that for a cosmos to exist at all, it must be the outcome of a cosmic mind.”

Genevieve Behrend's "Your Invisible Power" - 1920

There is hope for the Philippines and the Filipino people once we understand the Science of Getting Rich not only in material abundance but mental attitude as well.

Science of Getting Rich

Is one of the few books, that is for some reason,  not taught in our basic academic foundation.

However, this book contains the elements that change the lives of people who accumulated their wealth not because of inherent genius, but rather a change in their mindset.

Their ability to"DO THINGS IN A CERTAIN WAY"

Chapter II

THERE is a Science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches; once these laws are learned and obeyed by any man, he will get rich with mathematical certainty.

The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way; those who do things in this Certain Way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich; while those who do not do things in this Certain Way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor.

It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects; and, therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.

Thus it begins with belief. The mentality of lack  and scarcity...produces scarcity.

Just as the saying goes -- "mediocrity begets mediocrity"

Poor mindset yields poverty thinking ... and we now know that --- poverty begets poverty...

Unfortunately that's how most poor children are raise to believed.  It's about time to teach them the principles adhered to by wealthy individuals and high achievers in every field.

Be careful with what you think...

Because thoughts can become a reality!

As Mr. Henry Ford says...

"If you think you can't, you're right! --- If you think you can, you're right as well."

"Teaching people how to fish is better than giving them fish to feed for the day..."

Philippines is not only blessed with industrious and talented citizens.

We also have vast natural resources with breathtaking landscapes, superb natural wonders and  pleasant weather all year round.

The West gets extreme cold, the Middle East extreme hot while some parts of Asia experience winter weather.

Philippines enjoy bearable sunny hot weather and bountiful rains all throughout the year...

Typhoon causing flood and landslides are a result of lack of funds for infrastructures due to corruptions, carelessness of the people trashing the streets with litter and abuse in forestry resulting in soil degradation.

These are cause by corruption from greedy government officials ... the Filipino's dog-eat-dog mentality ... the do-whatever-you-can to gain upper hand.

Adding to it are the disenfranchised citizens that are unpatriotic because of lack of trust to their government ... the "I don't care attitude --- it's their job not mine, I'm barely surviving kind of mentality.

If we begin to think and proactively participate for the sake of progress ... we will be extremely blessed!

So why are we still in poverty?

Again, because of poor mental attitude... children from poor families we're always taught to believed that they are little people, poor and will likely be just like that until they grow old. At a young age, their mental attitude is already stuck with scarcity. Majority of these children have not seen the advance world class technology. They are only aware of the primitive ways in their little town. Few exceptions are those children who we're exposed to more advance and bigger things. Some resigned to believed that they do not deserve it. While few will fight their way into getting what they want...the desire to be and have what they want.

Some exceptional achievers who we're not born with silver spoon in their mouth and made it to the books.

The likes of living legends such as John Gokongwei Jr., Diosdado Banatao, Manny Villar, Manny Pacquiao, to name a few exceptional characters ... all refused to believe that they have limitations.

There are other's who pursue what they believed and succeeded...

Click to see Our great inventors:

They are few among hundreds of brilliant Filipinos who pursued their imagination into reality creating a technology that made our lives a little better.

If we will envision our country emerging from being in the third world level and become industrially competitive...we can absolutely attain by training our youth to develop the mindset of the wealthy.

Wealthy people have this so called millionaire’s personal mindset, a way of thinking that separates the achievers and successful individuals from the rest of the population. Subconscious is much powerful than the conscious mind. This can either help fulfill dreams or hold them from success that they want in their life.

We are like magnets - like attract like. We become AND attract what we think

We attract our dominant thoughts

What we focus on with our thoughts and feelings is what we attract
into our experience

Play the picture in your mind - focus on the end result

VISUALIZE!!! Rehearse your future

VISUALIZE!!! See it, feel it! This is where action begins

An affirmative thought is 100 times more powerful than a negative
one

"What this power is, I cannot say. All I know is that it exists."
Alexander Graham Bell

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."
Albert Einstein

"Whatever the mind of man can conceive, it can achieve"
W. Clement Stone

These are the true principles that works to change a poor mindset...and must be integrated into our academic teachings.

Empowering our kids with this powerful principles in their academic learnings will enable them to become unstoppable in good ways...

Kids who learn at an early age that there is abundance in the Universe for everyone of us will teach them not to steal. Teaching them that they can achieve what they want enable them to dream big and put it into action. Teaching them that good things comes out from good intention...they will do no harm.

Our current society is rigged with corruption because we we're taught to compete, and to compete means to defeat by beating the opponent.

Competition is healthy when the desire is to win not to hurt someone. Manny Pacquiao once said during his fight with Margarito. " Boxing is not killing each other, it's about winning."

Rightfully so! He trained hard to be the best not to beat someone.

The race of the disabled children best illustrates a great competition and solidarity...it's about winning --- not beating on each other!

If we raise our children with the kind of mentality that will weed out the corrupt and selfish attitude...then our society will breed a generous, unselfish, honest citizens. Which the Philippines so desperately needs!

This is my country, your country...our country!

Mabuhay ka Pilipino!

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
